In the 1970s, Esther Lewittes Mipaas began photographing extensively in color. Her collection contains several hundred Ektachrome 35 mm color transparencies and their original Kodak boxes from the 1970s and 1980s.
In 2019, the transparencies were transferred from the Kodak boxes to newer and safer archival housing. The new filing reflects Mipaas’s earlier organization and naming of the transparencies. The corresponding Kodak boxes with Mipaas’s handwritten labels are preserved in a separate archival container.
